The Hermitage informs its visitors of the museum’s working hours over the New Year holidays.
On 1 January and (Monday) 6 January the museum is closed.
From 2 to 12 January the museum will open early for organized groups. Groups will be allowed in from 9.30 onwards, making it possible to reduce the number of tourist groups inside the complex at any one time.
The working hours for individual visitors to the Main Museum Complex, including those with Internet ticket, remains unchanged.
A video camera has been set up in the Great Courtyard of the Winter Palace and a special page has been created on the Hermitage website to allow people to see the queue for the museum ticket offices online.
During the holidays, tickets that include the right to visit the Main Museum Complex will ONLY be sold in the ticket offices of the Main Museum Complex.
We hope that this will make getting into the Hermitage a more agreeable process.
